Miguel is a junior journalism and professional writing major with a minor in political science at The College of New Jersey. He is currently the Sports Editor of The Signal. During his freshman year, Miguel was the field hockey and softball beat writer. Since then, he has covered nearly every sport the Athletics Department has to offer.
Outside of The Signal, Miguel is part of the College’s Educational Opportunity Fund program and serves as a junior facilitator for the Leadership Development Program. He is also a member of Student United Way and the Social media and Communications Assistant of the Center for Global Engagement.
Miguel loves watching the New York Yankees, New York Giants and Manchester United. He hopes to one day become a full-time reporter for ESPN or FOX Sports. However, Miguel will stick to reporting on the sidelines and interviewing with student-athletes to further develop his writing skills.
